Get ready for SummerActive 2008 - this year's campaign is rapidly approaching.  SummerActive takes place May 8 to June 20, 2008.  So, start planning your event and order you free posters by filling out the following order form:

Every community, school and organization in Ontario is invited to enter the SummerActive Challenges.  And, it is easy to become involved.  Simply organize an event or program that encourages participation in physical activity or sport and you are eligible to register in the Challenges.  Getting involved is quick and easy!

 

Community Challenge 

It's as easy as one, two, three to get involved in the SummerActive Community Challenge! And, it's a fun and simple way to get people moving. What's more, through the Challenge, your community/organization could even be recognized as one of the province's most active communities.   Be one of the first 50 communities/organizations to register and receive a free promotional package containing SummerActive giveaways for your event!  For more information and to register online click the following link:

DPA School Challenge

 These activities will help you get your group moving and have lots of fun at the same time.  The SummerActive activities are easy to implement as a classroom OR as part of a school-wide Daily Physical Activity challenge.

Workplace Challenge


This year's initiative includes a Challenge specifically for organized workplace settings. The Challenge is based upon number of steps walked at work and is intended to attract inactive adults to take the first steps to an active lifestyle.

By registering in the SummerActive Workplace Challenge, your team/organization will be helping to improve the level of physical activity among adults in your workplace.  You will receive attractive promotional material, pedometers, ACTIVE2010 Walking Guides and support information that will make it easy for you to become involved.  Simply fill in the following registration form:

The first 50 registered teams/organizations will receive free SummerActive giveaways to be distributed to participants or used in any way that fits with your summer marketing campaign.

Leaders, you are strongly encouraged to register your events on the national site at: www.summeractive.ca/en/events/register.aspx?pt as well. 

We also ask that for tracking purposes, and if your event is registered for the Ontario SummerActive Challenge, that you encourage your participants to register online. Both leaders and participants have a chance to win additional great prizes nationally as well!
