As a Full MBA Symposium delegate, what is included in my package?

The full MBA Symposium registration includes two plenary addresses, a choice of concurrent sessions, materials, refreshment breaks and two lunches. Accommodations, dinner(s) and breakfast(s) are not included.

Where do I go upon arrival on the first day?

Please proceed to the registration desk in the front lobby of the Art Gallery of Hamilton. Registration for the MBA Symposium is 8:30 to 9:00 am on Wednesday, October 16.

The event starts at 9:00 am that day and continues through to Thursday at 4:30 pm.

Can I split my registration between multiple people?

No, registrations may not be shared by multiple persons.

How do I qualify for the member rate?

If your organization holds a Municipal or Community Agency Membership you are eligible. If your organization holds a Group or Individual Membership, you must be listed as a designated member. To determine if you fall under these categories or if you would like to become a member, please contact Job Mart subscribers do not qualify for the member rate. Members of the Provincial/Territorial Parks and Recreation organization affiliated with the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association are also eligible for the member rates. I’m a Municipal Member, how do I take advantage of our complimentary registration(s) included in the Membership?
If you have yet to have it provided, please contact to receive the discount code that will allow you to receive your complimentary registration NOTE: Additional event tickets are not included in the complimentary registration.

Am I able to get a refund?

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY: A 20% administration fee will be applied to all cancellations. A fee of 50% will be applied to cancellations made after September 25th. Cancellations made after October 10th are fully non-refundable. However, registrations are transferable. All requests for cancellations and transfers must be submitted in writing to before the established deadlines.

If I am no longer able to attend, can someone take my place?

Yes, registrations are transferable. If for any reason you are unable to attend you can transfer your registration to another staff member.

Can I register multiple staff at once?

Yes, once you have completely registered one person you will be taken to a page to either ' Proceed to Checkout' or 'Add Another Registrant'.  Once you have added all desired delegates, simply click on 'Proceed to Checkout' and this will take you to your Order Summary. PLEASE NOTE: Each person being registered will require a unique email.

Can I be invoiced?

Yes, simply select offline payment as you payment option and an invoice will be sent to the email provided during registration.  NOTE: Payment must be received prior to the MBA Symposium start date on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.

What is the dress code at this event?

The MBA 19 Symposium is a casual event. Please dress accordingly. 

Can I bring SWAG promoting my organization or program?

If your agency/department has t-shirts, pens, bags, hats, mugs or other promotional items that you give away to staff or volunteers, please bring them along. SWAG draws are held throughout the MBA Symposium. In addition to coming away with a great gift, you may also get great ideas for promotional items.

I have food allergies. How can I get an appropriate meal?
Please alert us to your allergies and dietary restrictions ahead of time by including them in your registration or by sending an email to Special meals requested less than ten (10) days before the Symposium opens may be subject to additional fees.

I have dietary restrictions, how will this be addressed onsite?

Anyone having noted a dietary restriction on their registration form will receive a card on site to present to the wait staff during meals.

Supporting sustainable environments is part of PRO's vision. The MBA Symposium supports this vision by selecting our venue, the Art Gallery of Hamilton, which implements many sustainability initiatives.
