Parks and Recreation Municipal Council Orientation Toolkit and Webinar
Parks and Recreation Ontario has created an orientation toolkit for elected officials that can help strengthen the case for parks and recreation, align your community with the Framework for Recreation in Canada, and find out more about PRO’s unique set of tools that help improve service and community outcomes based on the five goals identified in the Framework for Recreation in Canada.
In addition to the toolkit, PRO has created a new training webinar designed especially for elected officials. The webinar provides critical information on the benefits of recreation and parks, the Framework for Recreation in Canada, trends and issues, and available resources.
Parks and recreation staff can download the webinar, toolkit, and create customized packages for their council and/or school board trustees.
