Shape the future of the parks and recreation sector! We're seeking candidates as nominees to our Board of Directors for three-year terms beginning in June 2026. If you're passionate about advancing the sector, consider applying!
Background
The PRO Board is comprised of PRO members who share an interest in supporting PRO's strategic vision to be recognized as the leading parks and recreation authority by professionals, government, and community leaders.

Board members come from all parts of the province and have skills and competencies to help PRO achieve its Strategic Plan. Skills include municipal and non-profit recreation leadership, post-secondary education, finance and risk management, strategic planning, and non-profit governance.

Board Committment:

Nominees must be PRO Members in good standing.

3-year term commencing in June 2026.

Attend 5-6 Board meetings annually (virtual or in-person).

Participate on one Board Committee (approximately 4 virtual meetings annually).

Who We're Looking For:
While all PRO members are welcomed and encouraged to apply, the following is being sought to complement the existing Directors and enhance representation:

Individuals representing the not-for-profit sector;

Individuals from Central Ontario communties;

Individuals with financial, legal, risk management and/or government relations experience.​​
PRO seeks applicants who embrace our values of equity, anti-racism, and inclusion.
