Keynote Speaker
Meet Mike Shoreman
Mike Shoreman is a mental health and accessibility educator, professional speaker, coach, author, and advocate whose transformative journey has inspired audiences worldwide. Diagnosed in 2018 with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, a chronic neurological condition that drastically altered his life, Mike Shoreman overcame immense challenges to become a symbol of resilience and empowerment. As a best-selling author and the subject of a multi-award-winning documentary, his work has raised critical awareness for youth mental health, earning him prestigious accolades, including the 2024 Changemaker of the Year Award and the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

Take Your Learning One Step Further
Looking to deepen your learning and earn a recognized certificate? At PRO EX Exchange: Inclusion participants have the opportunity to add the Rick Hansen Foundation's Inclusion and Accessibility Training (IAT) Workplace Workshop Certificate to their event experience at no extra cost.
How to Attend the Workshop
As part of the Session Selection process, participants can choose to select the Certificate Workshop Stream. Space is limited to the first 80 participants to select this option.
The Certificate Workshop will be offered both in the morning and afternoon, allowing you to select the time that works best for you. Select the workshop you wish to attend, and participate in the other breakout sessions that interest you most throughout the rest of the day.
To register, select Certificate Stream in the Session Selection Form. The Session Selection Form will be emailed to registered participants on Monday September 14, 2026. Those who register after September 14 will be prompted to complete the Session Selection Form immediately following registration.
What to Expect
The IAT Workplace Workshop is designed for participants at all levels of experience. Whether you are new to accessibility and inclusion, or an experienced professional, workshop facilitators will tailor the discussion and activities to support your learning.
Participants with more advanced experience will have opportunities to explore:

Earn Your Certificate
Participants who attend the opening keynote and successfully complete the Certificate Workshop will receive the Rick Hansen Foundation IAT Workplace Workshop Certificate, recognizing their commitment to advancing accessibility and inclusion in the workplace. The certificate stream is optional and available to event participants at no additional cost. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
